2. What the Service does

RateCalc is a browser-based calculator that estimates freelance hourly, daily and project rates from numbers you provide. It is offered free of charge, with an optional paid "Pro" upgrade that unlocks additional convenience features.

3. Not financial, tax or legal advice

All outputs are estimates based solely on your inputs and simplified assumptions (for example a flat effective tax rate and an 8-hour reference working day). They do not account for your personal circumstances, local tax rules, deductions, currency effects or market conditions. Nothing on this site constitutes financial, tax, accounting or legal advice. Consult a qualified professional before making business or pricing decisions.

4. Acceptable use

You may use the Service for personal or commercial purposes. You may not attempt to disrupt the Service, scrape it at abusive volumes, remove attribution from the printable report, or redistribute the code as your own product.

5. Pro license

The Pro upgrade is a one-time purchase granting you a personal, non-transferable, lifetime license to use the Pro features of this Service in your own browsers. Payment is processed by a third-party checkout provider under its own terms. Because the license is activated locally, clearing your browser data will require you to re-enter your license key. Refunds are handled according to the checkout provider's policy; contact us within 14 days of purchase if something is not working.

6. Advertising and affiliate links

The Service may display third-party advertisements and contain affiliate links. We are not responsible for the content, products or privacy practices of advertisers or partner websites. Any transaction you enter into with a third party is solely between you and that party.

7. Availability and changes

We aim to keep the Service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may modify, suspend or discontinue features at any time. Pro features may evolve, but we will not remove the core purpose of the features you paid for without providing a reasonable alternative.

9. Limitation of liability

Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Pro upgrade, if any.

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the site operator is established, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
